The Difference between Daily Corseting and Waist Training

Waist training is the process of training your waist to become permanently smaller by wearing a corset on a continuous basis. Training your waist to become smaller, and to remain that way, takes serious commitment. Every body is different, and you will find that you must wear your corset 14-23 hours each (and every) day in order to achieve permanent results.

In addition to continuous corseting, you must change your diet and make certain you are exercising in order to waist train. Overeating and eating the wrong foods will hinder your progress, and can cause serious discomfort.

Planning ahead before beginning any corset training program is essential. Ideally you will need at least two corsets to alternate between. At least one of these should be custom fitted, and this should be the corset you wear in the daytime. You can wear a standard or stock-sized corset at night while your daily corset is airing out. In the morning reverse this process so that both corsets stay fresh and clean.

You will need a minimum of 4-5 absorbent corset liners or camisoles to wear under your corset. Having this many will allow you to throw one or two in the wash at any given time. Your corset should never sit on your bare skin.

Daily corseting will enhance your figure in much the same way as waist training, but on a more limited basis. You will still need to watch what you eat to remain comfortable while corseted, but your commitment level will be far less dramatic, as you will only expect to have an hourglass figure while your corset is on. For many of us daily corseting is our preferred method of corset wear, as it leaves us free to live our lives comfortably corseted, or sans corset, when we choose.

You may still find that you lose weight and your waistline is reduced when you limit your corseting to part-time. The corset will put pressure on your stomach, which may lessen your desire to overeat. It will also enhance your posture, making you appear taller and thinner as a result.
